Money back through the windowThe Money back through the window (MBW) project is one of the most successful programmes of the KÖVET Association for Sustainable Economies. In 2002 we started to collect case-studies from companies to prove that money spent on environmental protection is not „money thrown out the window”, rather a good investment that pays back in a short period, and gives economical advantages to environmentally aware companies. In the first year we documented 44 measures from 12 companies that brought environmental and financial benefit at the same time. The case-studies were published in a case-study book called „Money Back through the Window” in Hungarian. Since 2002 we have been gathering these case studies annually, publishing a case-study book every year. As a result of the so far 6 years survey we collected 262 measure from 56 different organizations with a total saving of 58.8 million euro! (60 of these measures from 16 companies have been translated to English with IVF funding.) Measures like these can be found at any company.
